LOYALTY is the act of being devoted to someone or something. It implies a faithfulness that is steadfast in the face of adversity and / or any temptation to renounce, desert, or betray.
However LOYALTY does not mean that one is oblivious to reality or will tolerate disrespect, manipulation or being taken advantage by others.
Although LOYALTY to others is important. LOYALTY to oneself is essential.
